The twisted cord provides more structure than a single twist string and for that reason is the perfect choice when making  plant hangers. It is also easily unravelled which allows for extra depth in your Macrame piece. Although it untwists to give a frayed look easily, it is not the best choice for making feathers or fringes as it is much more structured.
