Humbug, is the name given to combed top that is a blend of natural shades of wool. This distinctive look gets its name from a traditional hard boiled sweet, the Humbug lolly. These old school lollies have a distinctive stripe which adequately describes this lightly blended fibre of only natural shades of sheep. The marled effect this technique creates carries through to your yarn.
 
Our Finn Humbug is a lovely blend of natural white and natural brown Finn fibres. Perfect for hand spinning, hand felting and many other craft uses. Our combed tops are available in 100g lots.
 
Finn wool is lofty and has an micron count of 28-30 microns, with an average staple length of 80mm and moderate crimp. It is ideal for felting as well as spinning. Finn Wool can be compared to Blue Faced Leicester in appearance and is easily blended with other fibres.
